Gratitude is in the air!
Across the country, Americans are gearing up for Thanksgiving. The generous members of St. John’s contributed many bags of food to make sure our hungry neighbors can enjoy a Thanksgiving meal.

We will collect more food this Sunday for the town food pantry, as we do on the third Sunday of each month. We will give thanks for the many blessings of St. John’s and the generosity of our members as we bless all the all stewardship campaign pledge cards. And, on this Christ the King Sunday, we will express our praise and thanksgiving to God, the giver of all good gifts, and for the life, sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus, our most wonderful and unusual king.

In a world full of business and strife, we sometimes forget how much we have to be grateful for. I urge you to take a few moments during the next week to reflect on the blessings in your life. If you get stuck, try this exercise, either on your own or perhaps around the Thanksgiving table: Create a list of one thing you’re thankful for starting with each letter of the alphabet. I’d love to hear what you come up with!
